い	いけかな on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 昨日行ってきました。山頂までの道のりは以前よりも草が伸び、道幅も狭いので対向車が来たらすれ違いが大変です。途中山登りの方もおり、なお走行注意です。長岡市内を眺めたくて、上まで上がってみたのですが、唯一の長岡方面のビューポイントでバーベキューをしている方がいて、煙で見えず残念でした。バーベキューは別の広いところでされても良いのではないかと。新潟方面の眺めは最高ですね。紅葉もだいぶ進み、もみじは少し枯れ始めていました。 I went yesterday. Some people climb mountains on the way, so be careful when driving. I think the barbecue may be held in another large area. The view towards Niigata is the best. The autumn leaves have advanced a lot, and the maple leaves have begun to die a little.

The moonrise, sunrise and ridges of the mountains are beautiful. I could see the Shimoda Kawauchi massif well.
大	大野敏昭 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 長岡市から栃尾へと繋がる県道９号の途中にあり、県道からかなり離れたところにあります。けっこう大きな広場です。地元の方々が、車で各広場で駐車しながら寛いでました。八方台には、トイレが有り水は出ますが、飲めない水です。 It is in the middle of prefectural road No. 9 that connects Nagaoka city to Tochio, and is quite far from the prefectural road. It's a pretty big square. The locals were relaxing while parking in each square by car. Happodai has a toilet and water comes out, but it is not drinkable.
か	かんれ on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ かつては国民宿舎があった場所で賑わい現在では駐車場になっています。東側からは麓のキャンプ場や池が望め、西側は信濃川や長岡市街が一望できる風光明媚な場所です。しかしながら、ここに至るには、アップダウンや曲がりくねった県道から通らねばならず、しかも看板すらない上、道に入ったら舗装されているとは言え、見通しの悪く、狭く、とにかくアクセスが悪いです。正に残念な名所と言えるでしょう。 It used to be a place where there used to be a national residence, and now it is a parking lot. 土	土田知 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 雲が良ければ最高のロケーションです。最高の条件の時には遠方に会津磐梯山も見えます。 ◯市内方面 →長岡の市街地&信濃川&弥彦山 ◯栃尾方面 →守門岳&粟ケ岳 ◯北魚沼方面 →浅草岳 →枝折峠 →会津朝日岳など南会津の峰々 ◯新緑と紅葉の季節がオススメです。 ◯運が良いと雲海が見れます。一番に発生するのは三条方面の山々二番目は北魚沼方面の山々ー条件が良ければ滝雲(枝折峠付近)が発生します。三番目は弥彦山方面の雲海、発生する頻度は少ないですが運が良けれ広大な越後平野が雲海におおわれます。 ※マイナス要素は道路が狭くて草が両脇伸びているのですれ違いが困難、特に紅葉時期は大変です。市&道路管理者が八方台の良さが判らないと思われます。自然の美しさを理解できないのは残念ですね。 Great location if the clouds are good. The third is the sea of clouds in the direction of Mt. Yahiko, which is less frequent but fortunately covers the vast Echigo Plain. * The negative factor is that the road is narrow and the grass grows on both sides, so it is difficult to pass each other, especially during the autumn leaves season. It seems that the city & road manager does not understand the goodness of Happodai. It's a pity that we can't understand the beauty of nature.
