A place that might be mistaken for a green park if you don't look it up.

It is estimated that the front and rear burial mounds with a total length of about 65 m were built in the early 5th century. National designated historic site. The Ozumi Minamitsuka Burial Mounds lined up on the west side are also the same shape and size, and are famous as a rare example of two front and rear burial mounds with a moat. The burial person is unknown. As a tradition, there is a relationship between the burial mound and Emperor Keitai, and a direction to link with the migration of Hayato Osumi, but there is no conclusive evidence.

Kurumazuka Kofun is the name of a Japanese tomb. Because there are tumuli with the same name in various places, they are called with the place name prefixed. The etymology is that the keyhole-shaped tumulus was regarded as a car on which you ride. The Oozumizuka Tumulus is a front tumulus in the early 5th century (middle of the Kofun period), 66 meters long. It was designated as a National Historic Site in 1974.

When actually looking around the tumulus found in the Google map , There seems to be 2 patterns. One is a lively tree Hill of rice grass bowboa, just a little rough small from the distance I only see mountains. I passed by without explanation board . Moreover, these places are regulated by rope and fence There are many things that do not go in during it. The other is public The place where the burial mound is beautifully embanked in the garden. Restored Form is really beautiful. Even when standing on an ancient tomb . I definitely like this if I go. In today's ancient tomb, The surroundings are not parks, but to the plaza which was leveled as the park Has become. The trees of the hills are appropriately organized and the soil There is almost no grass to cover. Viewing from the plaza folk tumble fold I can tell that the mask is clear. Free on the ancient tomb You can also feel the whole picture from the top. Recently As I watched only about 4 losses, I got really good today Feeling done. It was more than I expected.

As an old burial mound, it is a small and quiet place unlike Sakai and Fujiidera. People don't stand out even on Sundays. Visit multiple times

This is a very distinct 'keyhole' Kofun. To the casual passer-by, this could easily be mistaken for a clump-of-trees surrounded by rice. It is a very nice area and I suggest a nice site for a picnic.
