お寺が無い我が町では、お宮参りからお葬式までこちらの神社にお願いするお宅が一般的です。
2019年に本殿の屋根葺き替えの落成記念式典で、町の囃子会として演奏を奉納出来たのがいい思い出です。
毎年秋に奉納される伝承芸能、滝尻棒ささらは、一見の価値有。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 泉町下川にあるのだが、隣に道路があったりと決して静とは言わないが、一歩中に足を踏み入れると、樹齢何年か分からないような大きな木々が生い茂り、静寂に包まれ心が穏やかになり、とても落ち着く神社であります。

御祭神は建御名方命（タケミナカタノミコト）、誉田別命（ホンダワケノミコト）。
社格は郷社。
平城天皇の大同年間に亀石ヶ原に勧請したとのこと。
東北各地の神社の創建に関する年号はこの年とされることが多いらしい。
拝殿にはご由緒にある通り、諏訪神社と八幡神社の扁額が掲げられております。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 一般的に拝殿は参道の真っ直ぐ奥にあるものと思っていましたが、神様は参道を右折したところにいらっしゃいます。静かで落ち着いたところでした。朝9時過ぎ、おみくじなどが置いてある社務所？が開いていなくて残念でした。見つけられなかったのかもしれません。人が少ないときにじっくりお参りできてよかったです。2022/1/10。
