★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 昔この里に酒造りで財を成した長者が住んでいた。その長者の夫婦には一人娘がいたのだが、とても美しく心の優しい娘であった。
ある日親子三人で御伊勢参りに出かけ、無事に御参りをすませた帰り道、どこからともなく現われた一匹の白い犬が、この親子の後ろについてきた。そしてその犬が娘になついたので、長者はこの犬を屋敷で飼うことにした。
ある年とあることを祈願するため、長者の娘を人身御供にすることになったのだが、娘を人身御供にする三日前の夜、その犬が長者の夢に現われ、「私を人身御供にしてください。どうか恩返しをさせてください」と言って姿を消した。
そのため長者は里人たちと相談した後、犬を娘の身代わりとして人身御供にすることにした。
犬を人身御供にした夜は、真っ黒な雲が空を覆って激しい雨が降り、長者の屋敷に集まった里人たちは、悲しみの表情で一夜を明かした。
翌朝、長者と里人たちが犬を人身御供にした場所に行ってみると、一匹の大きな狸が血まみれで死んでいて、その横には、長者の娘が可愛がっていた犬が哀れな姿で死んでいたという。
この伝説の犬と狸の戦いは、里人たちが｢館の山｣と呼んでいる場所で、昔、館山城という城があったという。
この犬の死骸は土橋にある二渡神社へ、狸の死骸は鶉崎にある諏訪神社へ埋葬されている。
この祟りを恐れた鵜崎の里人たちは、毎年、猪の首を二つ御供えしていたのだが、その後、里に猪がいなくなったため、キジの首を二つ御供えするようになった。更にその後は、ワラで大蛇を作って御供えするようになったという。

After consulting with the foster people, the elder decided to use the dog as a substitute for his daughter.
The night when the dog was sacrifice, black clouds covered the sky and heavy rain fell, and the villagers who gathered at the mansion of the elder spent the night with a sad expression.
The next morning, when the eldest and fosters went to the place where the dog was sacrifice, a big raccoon died bloody, and beside him was a pitiful dog whose beloved daughter was cute. It is said that he died in such a form.
This legendary fight between dogs and raccoon dogs is what Fato people call the "Tatenoyama". It was said that there was a castle called Tateyama Castle in the past.
The carcass of this dog is buried at Futari Shrine in Dobashi, and the carcass of a raccoon dog is buried at Suwa Shrine in Quaizaki.
The villagers of Uzaki who were afraid of this curse offered two boar's necks every year, but since the boars were gone, they came to offer two pheasant's necks. . After that, he began to make large snakes with straw and offered them.
