★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 非常に見つけづらいです。ここ単体ではなく、付近の砂川平和ひろばや立川市砂川学習で、資料や写真を見てから見学した方が歴史的意義が分かると思います。ちなみに平和広場では野菜も直売しています(開店時間は不定期っぽいです)。
It is very hard to find. Not only here, but in the nearby Sunagawa Peace Plaza and Tachikawa City Sunagawa Study, it would be more meaningful to see the material and photos before visiting the museum. By the way, vegetables are also sold directly at Heiwa Plaza (opening hours are irregular).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 砂川事件・砂川闘争が起きた場所に建っている、かなり立派な石碑。しかし大通りの脇道を入った、資材置き場の仮設壁の裏側に建っているために、通りがかっただけではまず気づかない。
昭和記念公園と陸自立川飛行場が米軍基地だったころ、その拡張計画への反対運動や一連の司法判断について国論を分けた「砂川事件」の軌跡が記録されている模様。詳しい内容は、文字の風化や石の変色で判読困難なため十分に読み取れなかった。
