★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 自称庄内三大乳銀杏と呼んでいて、湯田川の鎮守である由豆佐賣神社の御神木である乳銀杏と旧立川町三ヶ沢のお寺霊輝院の乳銀杏の並んで砂川の乳銀杏は、樹齢500年以上を誇ります。
おそらく、砂川鎮守の八幡神社の御神木で八幡太郎義家の伝承が残っています。
※乳銀杏とは…気根が女性の乳房の形に似ていることから〕乳の出ない婦人の信仰を集めている銀杏の老木。
気根に触れると乳が出るとされます。
 Self-proclaimed Shonai's three major ginkgo biloba, the ginkgo biloba, which is the sacred tree of Yutagawa's guardian Yuzu Sasa Shrine, and the ginkgo biloba of the former Tachikawa-cho Mikazawa Temple Reikiin, are lined up with Sunagawa's milk. Ginkgo is over 500 years old.
