山に慣れてないので、遭難する時はこんな場所なのかと不安になりますが、歩いて行く途中にも看板があるので大丈夫です！
杉は本当に大きく圧倒されます。

日が沈む直前に辿り着いた。
山道を３分程登ると皇壇の杉が現れる。
一瞬ひるむほど粗々しく力強い枝ぶり風貌、迫力
枝は放射状に広がり、下だれしたところから突き上げる枝
どう成長したらこれほどの樹形になるのか
雪深い土地だからこそなのか
それともウラスギ特有のものか
ものすごい形相をしているが、
折れた枝が再生した時にできた気根だろうか
いろんなことを考えながら夢中で撮影した。
山形の巨木たまらない。
