★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 皇美屋神社は与北町の北東部にあり南面しています。旧村社にて与北村一社の産土神です。
祭神 大伴建日連命、神櫛皇子、大巳貴命
神櫛負うに詔して大伴日連命、吉備武彦命を下し給いし時、悪魚を討つには神祇を祭るべしとて当地に大巳貴命、国魂神を観請し皇美和社と号せり。
神社には元久元年(1204年)奉納木馬があったとのこと。また江戸時代には高松藩松平候は祟敬せされ御神酒を奉られしさとあり。
また、皇美屋神社の獅子舞は独特で祭りの際には通常の舞い(いかり獅子と曲舞い)と五段と云う複数の舞いが行われます。
また境内には左右に多くの境内社の祠が鎮座されています。
こちらの神社も楠の大木が沢山生えております。ここまで数の多い楠の大木は珍しいです。
