伊達政宗が追われている際に、茂庭の職人が作った臼に隠れて敵をやり過ごしたそうで、その臼が、当時この辺りまで広がっていた阿武隈川に流れ着き、それが本殿に御神体として祀られている伝承があるそうです。

有り難く、”水雲神社”の御朱印を頂きました。
