★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A large Starbucks attached to Ueno station. Super busy all of the time, therefore hard to get a seat. Filter coffee was nice but really loud and busy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Too busy, noisy. Nearby Trains shake the building and very loud. Unlike other Starbucks it has Extremely Slow WIFI, known as atre_Free_Wi-Fi. No steel cutlery, only plastic. All round it sucks. There is a much better Starbucks just few minutes walk in the subway underneath.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very busy Starbucks directly outside the train station. The staff is friendly and fast. Plenty of seating. Fast Wi-Fi and very accessible. they do carry some of the products that you will find in the Starbucks Reserve, only a much much shorter line!

But the place is located right under the railroad so it can be loud from time to time (and that vibration that comes with it! Man, it freaked the hell out of me the first time that happened.).
So if you’re claustrophobic, you might want to skip this Starbucks.
(There are 3 other Starbucks near Ueno station, so if you’re desperate for Starbucks Frappuccino, you won’t have to suffer from withdrawal; just go to other location)
Oh, and there’s no Starbucks wifi here. But there’s an “atre” wifi.
