You don't really get a vibe of this place being a restaurant - but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. The staff was - surprisingly - not indian but the curry felt as authentic as it could've possibly been. I guess the only negative thing is the variety? But that hardly matters if the food tastes sooo good!

Before this restaurant, I tried Raju and Mt Everest restaurants but their was not authentic Indian taste. Naan is not available but mixed curry rice is delicious.

I was little hesitant to eat there as the ambience was not great. Also language problem (but google translator sorted). Finally we ordered our lunch (chicken thali), let me tell you it was the best chicken thali I ever tasted :). Highly recomendable, must visit place if you are in Kyoto! Best gesture: "once we reached late on biryani day, resturant was almost closed, but owner managed to give a portion of biryani in his own tiffin without charge!! as it was not full, he said it's a gift :)"
