The oysters were fresh, the shrimp not so much. Squid wasn't anything special. The stewed beef was tasty if a little chewy. The service was great and the woman who took our order speaks English perfectly for those of us who did not take the time to learn a lot of Japanese.

The shop was relatively free(no one sitting on counters/half of 2nd floor seating empty. Special Okonomiyaki came in 1 hour plus and even after waiting for longer than that, there was no sign of Hiroshima Special coming so I asked about it. Fifteen minutes later, someone came with a wrong order. I sent it back. Waited another 15 minutes but there was no sign of my order coming so I asked for bill. To my astonishment, I was given a bill of 9000+ JPY! I mean there is a limit to how inefficient you can be. Making customers wait endlessly, giving wrong orders and then fleecing customers is criminal! My worst experience in Japan, in last 11 years!!
B	Bany Chan on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A great place to eat when you're sightseeing around Hiroshima. 4 stars because prices are a bit high. Portions are big though, one okonomiyaki is enough for two people in my opinion. The staff is lively, friendly and genki! It really gives off a "place for locals" vibe even though it's in the city centre. If you're looking for place to eat your meal in peace though, this isn't it. I think this is a good thing, as it (noise of talking between staff and customers) gives an unmatched atmosphere.
