★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 鞍馬山の奥の院の手前にある谷で、不動堂があります。この地は牛若丸が武術を修行したと伝えられる処で、牛若丸に剣術を教えたのはここにすむ鞍馬山僧正坊という天狗だったそうです。
There is Fudodo in the valley in front of Kurama-no-in. It is said that Ushiwakamaru practiced martial arts in this area, and it was said that it was a tengu called the Kuramayama priest Shobo who taught Ushiwakamaru swordsmanship here.

僧正谷不動堂
何か建物が見えるたびに 奥の院か⁉️と思いながら険しい道を進んで行きました(^^;;笑
が、なかなか着かずじまい！
倒木はあるし、木の根には足を取られるし、高低差はかなりあるしで歩きにくい道ですが 道中にはこの様な立派お堂もあります(^^)

Monk Shoya Fudodo
Every time I saw a building, I went down a steep road, thinking that it was an inner house (^^ ;; lol
But it is hard to arrive!
There are fallen trees, feet are taken at the roots of the trees, and there are considerable height differences and it is a difficult road to walk, but there are such fine temples along the way (^ ^)

大天狗、僧正坊の厳しい修行と安らぎの場所であったであろうと、想像を巡らせます。
It is located in a quiet place in the mountains of Mt. Kurama.
Imagine that it would have been a place of rigorous training and peace for Daitengu and Monk Shobo.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 鞍馬寺から登って行き、ここが奥の院かと思いましたが、もう少し先でした。でも不動堂の方が奥の院よりも風格を感じました。
I climbed from Kurama-dera and thought that this was Okunoin, but it was a little further. But Fudodo felt more personal than Okunoin.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 鞍馬～貴船の中間くらいに位置しています。これといった特徴はないのですが、周りに生い茂っている杉が、どれも大きく高さがあるので神々しい雰囲気でした。向かいに義経堂がありました。
It is located between Kuramaki and Kibune. There is no such feature, but the cedars that grow around them are all large and tall, so it had a divine atmosphere. There was Gikeido across the street.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 鞍馬寺から山越えで貴船神社に行く山道の途中に有ります。
山越えの道はハイキングコースになっていますが、結構ハードで、スニーカーでないとキツイです。
コースは鞍馬寺から貴船神社に行く方が登りが少なく、貴船神社から鞍馬寺に行くのは登りが長くキツイです。
鞍馬寺の方が貴船神社より標高が高いので、鞍馬寺から貴船神社に歩くコースがお勧めとの事。
It is on the way to Kibune Shrine from Kurama-dera over the mountains.
The road over the mountains is a hiking course, but it's quite hard and it's tough without sneakers.
The course is less climbing from Kurama-dera to Kibune Shrine, and going from Kurama-dera to Kurama-dera is long and difficult.
Kurama-dera is higher than Kibune-jinja, so it is recommended to walk from Kurama-dera to Kibune-jinja.
