Is fulfilling. The expression of the diorama doll of the Tenguiwa irrigation excavation is realistic, humorous and fun. The actual Rikida beloved monument, in which the peasant honored Mr. Akimoto of the Soja Domain who opened the irrigation water, is located in the nearby Kogonji Temple.

(Lol) The area is really full of history, including the Gunma Prefectural Historical Museum, Kamitsukenosato Museum, and Kannonzuka Archaeological Museum. Is this also one of Japan's leading burial mound kingdoms, and the pride that it was once the center of Kanto civilization? (Lol) This museum mainly exhibits excavated materials from the Janayama burial mound and the Takaratoyama burial mound that rise to the left and right. Both are square burial mounds, especially the Janayama burial mound, which was 39 meters square at the time of its construction, and was a deluxe burial mound that was entirely covered with butterbur stones and shined white. Since there is a restored model, I think it is interesting compared to the current appearance seen from the second floor. The Treasure Tower Mt. Tumulus was built a little before the Janayama Tumulus, and is even larger, 54 x 49 meters square and 12 meters high. The horizontal hole type stone chamber and the house-shaped sarcophagus on the hillside are reproduced in full size in the museum. The stone room can also be visited locally, so be sure to check it out. Interestingly, this burial mound has been reused as a graveyard in modern times, and the tombstones of Mr. Akimoto, the lord of the early Edo period, are lined up at the top of the burial mound. Although he has ruled for only two generations and thirty years, he has made great achievements in the construction of castle towns and water control, and seems to have been loved by local residents like a god. Therefore, even after Mr. Akimoto moved to another place, if his successor did something outrageous at Soja, the residents seemed to have filed a proceeding to Mr. Akimoto's relocation destination, and it was really difficult to do. The surrounding area is the Soja Futago group. There are Jaketsuzan Tumulus and Treasure Pagoda Tumulus. I went to get the Gunma Kofun card for 3 consecutive years.

When you drive around Gunma prefecture, you will often see ancient tombs and buildings where you can feel the history. I've always wanted to know about them. I went there on weekdays (Tuesday), but I was the only visitor, and I was able to go around quietly and slowly. It was very easy to understand and exhibited for me, who was ignorant of the tumulus. At the entrance, there were a wide variety of pamphlets that could be used as books, and I enjoyed them even after I got home. I was able to learn about the history of Maebashi City.
