住吉大社に縁の深い人達を祖霊神として祀っています。この古めかしい建物、住吉大社神宮寺の新羅寺にあった護摩堂を転用したものだそうです。
春分の日と秋分の日の2回お祭りがあるそうです。

People who are closely related to Sumiyoshi Taisha are enshrined as ancestral gods. It is said that this old building was converted from the Gomadou in Silla Temple of Sumiyoshi Taisha Shrine.
There are two festivals, Vernal Equinox Day and Autumnal Equinox Day.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 1619年(元和5年)造営と伝わる建物。明治維新までは住吉神宮寺(新羅寺)の護摩堂であったが、神仏分離により招魂社に転用された。大社内に唯一残る神宮寺の建物。
A building that is said to have been built in 1619 (5th year of Genna). Until the Meiji Restoration, it was the Gomadou of Sumiyoshi Jingu-ji (Silla-ji), but it was converted to Shokonsha due to the separation of Shinto and Buddhism. The only remaining Jingu-ji building in the large company.
