★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The "must try Uzuwa (vortex fish ring)" was nothing special. Just Katsuo beaten down with spices. Lots of choices when it came to grilled fish, but nothing but a couple pickles and edamame when it came to veggie choices. To save the experience, the simmered kinmedai and chicken yakitori were VERY good.

The Sashimi is really fresh and well spiced in combination with rice bowl’s or soup.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very welcoming staff. They provided English menus. The food was phenomenal. I got the whole snapper and sashimi. My wife got the tuna bowl. Both were very good. Well priced. Fast service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was disappointed at my dish. My chirashi had cold fish served over hot rice and did not taste very good. I ended up not eating much of it. Given they had received such great reviews, I was disappointed at the food. The service was nice, the guy was very friendly. My husband enjoyed his meal.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very tasty - regional dishes from Ito-shi. We went here on a Tuesday night and it was the only busy place on the street, but still made for a relaxed meal. Staff were really nice and also accommodating with our limited Japanese. We had the vortex fish, raw freshly ground fish (tuna by it's colour) mixed with fruity green chili eaten in three stages (sashimi, on rice, on rice with hot dashi to make a tasty soup), as well as local sashimi and aji katsu, a fish from the area, undersalted which showed off its sweet flesh. Food for 2 hungry ppl and 2 drinks each was about ¥5000 - good price esp for lots of fish!!
