★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place to try out Nagoya style unagi rice set, which can be eaten 3 ways. Recommend asking your hotel to make a reservation as we tried to walk in and experienced a bit of wait. The staff were very nice but with limited English. They have English menu though which made things a lot easier.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Delicious Unagi Rice as well as a great selection of sake to pair with the food. Try the fried eel bone as well as it's really tasty. Service was good, English menu was available but only for the main dishes. Sake list was easy to order with the pictures n illustrations.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Worth it! I showed up at 10:55am and put my name on the waitlist. I only waited for a few minutes since they opened at 11. I got the "Handy bowl" and it was amazing! The Unagi is tender with lovely crispy skin and it's very interesting seeing how the flavours change from one method of eating to another. FYI you may need to request the dashi broth which is free of charge but they didnt give it to me until I requested it once I got to stage 3.
They use real wasabi as well so for any non-japanese people who have never had wasabi before (most "wasabi" outside of Japan is actually coloured horseradish) this is a great place to properly experience the true flavour and sensory experience of wasabi.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My family totally enjoyed dinner here although we have to wait 1hr+ despite being there at 5+ pm. Likely due to Golden week and the holiday for their new emperor. The unagi is so good and the 3 types of eating style is highly recommended!
