夏になるとアロハシャツを着た駅員さんが出迎えてくれます。
なお、新宮方面は普通列車のほとんどが新宮まで運行されますが、特急くろしおの3分の2はこの駅で折り返します。
かつては新宮駅まで多数運転されていましたがここ最近は年々本数が減少していき、3月のダイヤ改正でもまた1本が減されました。

パンダの列車可愛かったです。
コロナの影響か、ほぼ貸切のように乗れますね

残念ながらエレベーターがないので、
ベビーカーの利用時は、折りたたむ必要があります。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ のんびりとした雰囲気のある白浜駅。
改札外にトイレがあります。
小さなお土産店も併設されていますが、最低限のみなので、事前に買っておいた方が良いです。
Shirahama Station has a laid-back atmosphere.
There is a toilet outside the ticket gate.
There is also a small souvenir shop, but it's a minimum, so it's best to buy it in advance.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ とてものどかな駅で、駅構内に特急くろしお号の増結車両も留置されており魅力的でした。ホーム2面を繋ぐ跨線橋にはエスカレーターが設定されています。
?エレベーターの設置は無いので、車椅子にてご利用際は事前に確認必要です。
駅員の方はとても親切な方が勤務されておられました。

白浜地区最寄りの小規模なJR駅。
到着すると派手なシャツを着た駅員と思われる人たちが改札前で暖かく迎えてくれます。
温泉組合(?)に入っている旅館だと駅から無料のバスが出ています。バス乗り場に案内してくれる人が何人かいるので聞いてみた方がよいかも。

コロナ禍ということもあり出迎えはなし。
電車の本数自体は少ないのだが、駅前にはホテル・旅館行きのバスやタクシー乗り場がそれなりに確保されている。
パンダを推していることもあり、駅舎にはパンダ関連のオブジェが設置されている。待合室には椅子も十分に確保されていると思う。
停留所付近をウロウロしているとスタッフの人がお声がけしてくれる。

If you are a ryokan in a hot spring association (?), There is a free bus from the station. There are some people who will guide you to the bus stop, so you should ask.

There is no welcome because it is a corona disaster.
Although the number of trains is small, there are some bus and taxi stands for hotels and inns in front of the station.
Partly because they are pushing for pandas, panda-related objects are installed in the station building. I think there are enough chairs in the waiting room.
A staff member will tell you that you are wandering around the bus stop.
