★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 明治頃までこの地域で盛んだった一日で飯縄社七つを巡る「飯縄七山がけ」という慣習の巡回神社である。七年続けると大変な御利益があると信じられ、毎年四月八日の春祭りには周辺村々の多くの若者達が巡回に訪れ参拝し祭りは大いに賑わったと伝わる。
明治時代に入り内務省による国家神道強化政策により山岳信仰系のこの神社は強制的に社殿や鳥居が壊され御神木を伐採され付近の国家神道系神社に合祀され表向き姿を消した。
昭和六十年頃に、理解のある信州新町の建設会社社長により一部再建され現在に至る。
本来なら地域で最も大事にされなければいけない歴史ある神社の一つである。

 It is a customary traveling shrine called "Iizuna Nanayama Gake" that goes around the seven Iizuna shrines in one day that was popular in this area until around the Meiji era. It is believed that there will be great benefits if it continues for seven years, and it is said that many young people from the surrounding villages visited and worshiped at the spring festival on April 8 every year, and the festival was very lively.
In the Meiji era, this shrine of mountain worship was forcibly destroyed by the Ministry of Interior's policy of strengthening the state Shinto, and the shrine was cut down and the shrine was enshrined in the nearby state Shinto shrine and disappeared.
Around 1985, it was partially rebuilt by the president of a construction company in Shinshu Shinmachi, who has an understanding, and continues to the present day.
It is one of the most historic shrines in the area.
