銅造で像高は267cm、正徳2年（1712）9月に「江戸六地蔵」の三番目として甲州街道沿いに造立されたもので、製作者は神田鍋町の鋳物師太田駿河守正儀です。
なお、像内には小型の銅造六地蔵六体をはじめ、寄進者名簿などが納入されていました。

On New Year 2017, the first date with my wife was around Shinjuku Yamanote Teppukujin. It ’s super touching here when I visited the seventh. First of all, there is Edo Rokujizo. And there was "Enma-sama", but I forgot to worship "Undressing-sama". Next time!

江戸時代の前期に、江戸に出入口６ヶ所に造立された「江戸六地蔵」のひとつだそうです。「江戸六地蔵」は、深川の地蔵坊正元が発願し、江戸市中から多くの寄進者を得て造立したものだそうです。
