理	理沙 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ご本尊、聖観音を参拝(2020.10.18)。御朱印にも快く応じてくれました。新義真言宗のお寺って都内では珍しいんで聞いてみたところ、こちらの慈眼寺さんとお隣の不動院さんは、もともと真言宗豊山派のお寺だったとのことで。根来寺の力が弱体化してしまったんで、豊山派のお寺がいくつか新義真言宗に移った形。お寺の方が親切で、境内の石碑や山門なんかについて色々教えてくれました。第二次対戦で焼夷弾の空襲を受け、こちらのお寺の本堂は焼けてしまい、今の本堂は戦後に建て直されたものだそうです。墓地の入り口辺りに、空襲を受けて唯一残った戦前に建てられた納骨堂がまだ現役で残っていて、強烈に目を引かれましたね。また、墜落した米軍機の乗組員の供養塔もありました。敵兵でも気の毒に考えた人たちの優しい心が今も生きています。派手ではないものの、見所豊富で優しい雰囲気のお寺でした。朝もう時間がなくて急がざるを得ず、もっと色々聞きたかった！千手のお寺はまた今度、時間のある時にゆっくり参拝したいです。 Visit the principal image, Holy Kannon (2020.10.18). I would like to visit Senju Temple again when I have time.
