★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 室町時代後期の城館跡で、八谷氏が居住したと伝えられています。北部の発掘調査では土塁や空堀、建物跡が多数発見されました。現在は館跡の南部を公園（八谷館緑地）に整備し、憩いの場として親しまれています。七ツ森の絶景が広がる最高のロケーションで、特に春のお花見シーズンには、満開の桜とのコラボレーションが見事です。
It is said that Mr. Hachiya lived at the site of the castle in the latter half of the Muromachi period. Excavations in the north found many earthworks, empty moats, and building ruins. Currently, the southern part of the site is maintained in a park (Hachiyakan Ryokuchi), which is popular as a place of relaxation. It is in the best location with a magnificent view of Nanatsumori, and the collaboration with the cherry blossoms in full bloom is wonderful, especially during the spring cherry blossom viewing season.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 小高い館跡に春には桜や水仙が咲き、小さいながら美しい公園です。現在は崖崩れなどの影響で、ロープが張られて立入禁止の状態です。訪れる際は事前に問い合わせをすることをお奨めします。
Cherry blossoms and daffodils bloom on the ruins of a small tall building in spring, making it a small but beautiful park. Currently, due to the effects of landslides, ropes are stretched and the area is off limits. We recommend that you make an inquiry in advance before visiting.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 吉岡宿本陣案内所のスタッフさんに教えてもらった、地元の方しか知らないような穴場的な桜の名所です。
舗装されていませんが、駐車場もあります。
見晴らしの良い高台までは、少しだけ階段や坂道を登りますが、５～１０分と楽な範囲です。
春先のお花見がオススメですが、それ以外の時期でも泉ヶ岳や七ツ森方面の景色を堪能できます。
It is a little-known cherry blossom spot that only the locals know, as taught by the staff at the Yoshiokayado Honjin Information Center.
It is not paved, but there is parking.
You can climb the stairs and slopes a little to reach the hill with a good view, but it is a comfortable range of 5 to 10 minutes.
Cherry blossom viewing in early spring is recommended, but you can enjoy the scenery of Izumigatake and Nanatsumori at other times.
