The puffer fish is freshly prepared by a master chef and carefully selected cuts are served in various dishes. The appetiser was puffer fish salad, which was deliciously refreshing and teased the palette.
Next course was the entree, the puffer fish sashimi. Very thinkly sliced pieces of puffer fish fillet is dipped into a specially made soya sauce with shallots, raddish, ginger and chilli.
The main course is a traditional style hot pot. The vegetables and puffer fish bones along with the remaining edible pieces are dropped into a pot of boiling water.
After the hotpot is done, the remaining broth is turned into an egg/rice porridge style soup, soaking up all the flavours.
For dessert, we had sorbet and matcha pudding.
Highly recommended to give this place a try. It was my first time trying puffer fish and i will definitely be coming back

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I visited here with my wife during dinner. We ordered 10 dish set and used Yahoo coupon. We like Fugu and eat often, but here is really very nice store. The food are tasty and the staff (manager) helped us to do fugu BBQ and Nabe on our table. It was very nice and he really got the best timing. After ate BBQ, he also changed the hand towel and chopsticks so that BBQ sauce won’t effect next dish taste. The service was really good!
We will definitely go to the store again!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful Fugu restaurant named Guenpin in English, at a reasonable price and away from the normal touristy places in Ginza. They serve both farm raised (~$100 USD for largest 1 person 8 course meal) and wild caught fugu (~$200 USD for largest 1 person 8 course meal). They do let each person choose separately, so my wife and I did 1 farm raised and 1wild caught meal which was fun to share and try side-by-side.
This is about half the price of wild caught fugu restaurants in Ginza, and this was one of the best fugu restaurants I've been to.
