 It also intersects with Osaka Metro Dobutsuen-mae Station, a station where multiple lines intersect with the JR, Nankai, and Hankai lines. In a sense, it is a subcenter of Osaka.

電車からホームに降りて、街並みを見るとテンションがあがります^ ^
I often use it when I go to Shinsekai or Nishinari.
When you get off the train to the platform and look at the cityscape, you will feel more excited ^ ^

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 南海新今宮駅のガード下がこんなに綺麗になりました。星野リゾートがもうすぐオープンするので、周辺の道路とかも綺麗になってました。
The area under the guard at Nankai Shin-Imamiya Station has become so beautiful. As Hoshino Resorts will open soon, the roads around it have become cleaner.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 新今宮駅はＪＲ側と南海線側と出入口が2つあります。(ＪＲと南海の構内連絡通路があります。)
ドンキホーテ側がＪＲ側です。
ホシノリゾートＯＭＯ７を右手に直進すると、左側に南海側の新今宮駅出入口があります。
妖怪のスキマモリも出現します。
Shin-Imamiya Station has two entrances, one on the JR side and the other on the Nankai Line. (There is a connecting passage between JR and Nankai premises.)
The Don Quijote side is the JR side.
Go straight on Hoshino Resort OMO7 on your right and you will see the entrance to Shin-Imamiya Station on the Nankai side on your left.
Youkai skimmers will also appear.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is probably the most confusing station in all of Japan.
All the signage doesn't match the color code. All the labels say the same thing on each exit for each platform.
I don't recommend stopping here, if you do always ask for directions.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Such unfriendly staff. Can't assist me as they couldn't speak English (not blaming them), at the same time showing me a face that they despise people who don't speak English and speak rudely when I couldn't understand them. Please show more patience, I'm here to enjoy as a tourist.

The station has elevator and it quite strategic if you want to go to kansai by nankai rapit.
