The width of the road is so wide that some people may not even notice it as a bridge, so vehicles will pass through it. It also seems to be suitable for looking away from Tatsuhashi.

In particular, the cobblestone roads along the Shirakawa River have a brilliant atmosphere in the area where Kyomachiya are lined up. Normally, I was full of people and pressed the shutter in order, but I was able to take pictures without waiting for the corona sick weekdays. On a hot afternoon, the quiet stream of Shirakawa felt cool for some reason.
莫	莫妄想 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 白川に沿って北側の白川通りの石畳の道を東に歩き、辰巳大明神にお参りしてさらに東に行くと白川に架かる広い橋がある。それが新橋。大和橋やら巽橋、さらに北の有済橋や狸橋に比べると、ずいぶんとそっけない名前。名前のとおり、太平洋戦争のさなかに白川の北側の茶屋が空襲の延焼防止のために取り払われて新たな通りが作られて、そのときに出来たのでしょう。だから新しい橋、新橋。でももっと風情がある名前にすればよかったのに。 Walk east along the cobblestone road of Shirakawa-dori on the north side along Shirakawa, visit Tatsumi Daimyojin, and go further east to find a wide bridge over Shirakawa. That is Shimbashi. Compared to Yamato Bridge, Tatsubashi Bridge, and Yusumi Bridge and Tanukibashi Bridge in the north, the name is quite unfriendly. As the name suggests, the teahouse on the north side of the Shirakawa River was removed during the Pacific War to prevent the spread of fire, and a new street was created at that time. So a new bridge, Shimbashi. But I wish I had a more tasteful name.
う	うじまっちゃ on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ こじんまりとした京都らしい雰囲気の界隈です。とくに桜?の季節は素晴らしく、絵になります。同じ祇園といっても、四条通り南側の花見小路一帯は明るく華やかな感じなのに対して、北側の特に巽神社を中心とした一帯はより大人のしっとりした雰囲気が魅力です。 It is a small neighborhood with a Kyoto-like atmosphere. Especially the season of cherry blossoms ? is wonderful and picturesque. Even though it is the same Gion, the area around Hanamikoji on the south side of Shijo-dori is bright and gorgeous, while the area on the north side, especially around Tatsumi Shrine, has a more mature and moist atmosphere.

J	Joseph Tang on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful, peaceful neighborhood with many vintages wooden cottages being preserved by the local government. Almost all of these houses are now being converted into restaurants. It’s s nice & picturesque walk along the river & photo-shooting here before meals.
