あちこちにあって、古い家の間取りとか設いが好きなので色んな家を観てますが、ここは結構スケールが大きくて見処も多く、たまたまお客さんが少なかったのでもう存分に観ました。
同行者は二階の窓に腰掛け、この場所に一日居てもいいくらい落ち着く、と言ってました。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 役所広司さんの映画の撮影に使用されたということでずっと行きたいと思っていたので、やっと行けました。
すごく広くて見応えがありましたし、綺麗に手入れされていて、国の重要文化財を大切にされているなと思いました。
また雪が降ったら全然違う見え方をすると思うので、また時期を変えてきたいと思います。

説明も丁寧で土産物も洒落ていて安価。

庭園は国指定名勝。
道？と思える広い土間にまず目を見張り天井を見上げて梁の立派さに圧倒されます。豪商農大庄屋の全盛期には75人の使用人をかかえていたとの事。
囲炉裏に薪がくべられてその匂いと雰囲気がよかったです。
要所要所(概要、屋根、梁、釘隠し、大正ガラス、埋め木、庭園)に関川小学校6年生のPR動画説明がありYouTubeで確認しながら見学しました。埋め木と釘隠しを探すのが楽しかったです。
意匠を凝らした庭園も見事でした。
