Plus the bronze wares found in ancient Izumo, and the fairy tales of the Izumo.
Great to spend some time here and the entrance fee has 50% discount for visitors.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Extremely good place to visit on a trip to Izumo. Explains the history of the region and its myths via videos with English subtitles and has many relics dating to even BC periods. If you are a foreigner in Japan, make sure to bring your passport for 50% discount.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You can see the evidence of ancient huge shrines pillars here. It can be possible to build huge shrine with only woods.
And excellent view from the cafe is also recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is simply a museum built to express the historical and archeological values in the Izumo region. Much attention has been paid to the archaeological value of the Izumo Taisha temple. The most important exhibits in the museum are the bronze bells collected from the "Dotaku" area (from the 2nd century BC to the 1st century AD) and the collection of swords collected from another archeological site. This can be pointed out as a well-established museum where the design and presentation of the museum's exhibitions, audio descriptions, and other museum principles.
