千	千城愚龍 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ バイクや自転車なら行きやすいけれども大きい車になると道が狭いのでオススメしませんけれども木造の橋がこんな埼玉県内にあるとは思わなかったのでよかったです、風情がありますす It's easy to go by bike or bicycle, but I don't recommend it because the road is narrow for big cars. But I'm glad I didn't think there was a wooden bridge in Saitama prefecture, it has a taste.

中	中村中 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 全長77m 幅員2.6m 水面高3m 木橋(一部、繋ぎ用に鋼板)。沈下橋(河川法上は潜水橋)。児玉往還(川越宿･札の辻～高崎宿･新後閑)のルートであるが江戸時代当時は架橋されていなかったので渡し舟であった。明治時代初期に木橋が架けられて越辺川(おっぺがわ)の往来が容易になった。東武東上線建設に伴って島田橋上流600m程のところにコンクリート製の高坂橋が架橋されたがゆえに島田橋の架け替えが許可されずに今日に至っているそうだ。台風などで何度か橋が流失するがその度に復旧されて、現在の橋は平成27(2015)年5月に竣工したもの。幅1.8m、重さ1.5t以下の車輛通行可能。橋の上流側に斜めに取り付けてある杉の丸太は｢芥除｣(ちりよけ)といい、増水時に押し寄せる流木等を留めず橋の上を通過させる仕組みとなっている。 Overall length 77m Width 2.6m Water surface height 3m Timber bridge (partly steel plate for connecting).
