鳴	鳴美泰嘉 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 柱状節理（岩体に入った柱状の割れ目。マグマが冷却固結する際、収縮して生じるとのこと）という特異な露岩がここで見ることが出来ます。兵庫での有名どころでは玄武洞がそれにあたるそうですが、玄武洞までは遠いな・・でも柱状節理を手軽に見たいという場合にはここがお勧めです。現地の説明板にも書かれていますが、縦に直線の断層が走り、その左右の岩層が食い違っており目視でも確認することが出来ますが、かつてここを襲った大地震により断層のズレが生じた跡とのこと。自然の驚異を見るのにもいいかもしてません。この場所と、伽耶院駐車場の山側にも層群とおもしき露岩がみられるので、この辺り一面が繋がっているのを実感しました。停車場所は伽耶院駐車場が適切と思いますが、この場所も停車可能なので、状況によるとおもいます。 A peculiar exposed rock called columnar joints (columnar cracks in the rock body, which are generated when the magma cools and congeals) can be seen here.
