★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 前津小林村と御器所村の村境で、七本の大きな松があったことから七本松と呼ばれていたという。 江戸時代にはすでに二本だとか三本だとかになっていたようで、最後の一本も大正時代に枯れてしまったとのこと。 昭和7年から昭和44年まであった七本松町（しちほんまつちょう）の町名も今はもうない。
It is said that it was called Nanahonmatsu because there were seven large pine trees on the border between Maezu Kobayashi Village and Gokiso Village. It seems that there were already two or three in the Edo period, and the last one died in the Taisho era. The town name of Shichihonmatsucho, which was from 1945 to 1969, is no longer there.
