Senmyoji - Chikusei

In 2021, cluster amaryllis begins to bloom around 9/15 and peaks on 9 / 19-23, which is beautiful. Many people also come. Please be careful as the parking lot will be full. Stop shooting early in the morning as it will be a nuisance to the temple.

The temple name is called Senmyoji because the Senmyoji (Lotus Sutra) was copied to a pebble and buried in the center of the Jyo area.

We visited in December 2018. I felt it was a very well-maintained temple. A temple with beautiful cluster amaryllis. The best time to see the photos were also displayed at the temple office. I received the red stamp of Hyakugaji Temple, a temple of Togoku flowers.

I visited on July 2, 2019. It is at the place where I went a little from Shimuruma Road Station of Route 294. It will be the temple of Tendai sect. The mountain gate was closed, but since the small door is released on both sides, I put in from there. Also, the same Tendai sect temples line the eaves around Senyo-ji, but please be careful as it will be only "Senyoji" to get the Oji seal. Correspondence is correspondence written directly in the temple office. It will be 100 temples of east country flowers. In addition, correspondence of osho is scolding courtesy. Every year from the end of August to the beginning of September, "Akashana" blooms in front of the main hall, so it is worth watching.

Senmyoji Temple is a Tendai sect temple founded by Ennin (794-864), a Jikaku Daishi, and was built in the first year of Jōwa (834) at the foot of Mt. It is called Jōwa-ji Temple. After that, Dou was burned down by the disturbance of Taira no Masakado. As time went by, Ryomori settled on Kuroko in the second year of Kannō (1351) and revived under the command of Emperor Suko. When building the temple, Ryomori copied Senmyoji's Myoden (Myoho Renkakyo) into pebbles and buried it in the center of the Jyo area, so the temple name came to be called Senmyoji. Ryomori was inspired by the Taiden Sanmai style of law, and since then it has prospered as an abhisheka dojo of the Sanmai style, and from the Muromachi period to the Warring States period, there were more than 700 Sueji and Monkuji temples. It is said that the mountain number, Higashi-Mt. There was a close relationship with the Manshu-in and Seiren-in temples in Kyoto through the Sanmai-ryu. In addition, it is worshiped as a prayer temple for Sengoku warlords such as Mr. Ashikaga Furukawa, Mr. Tagaya, and Mr. Utsunomiya. Is relieved by the second shogun Hidetada Tokugawa. The main hall (Honzon Shaka Nyorai) was built in 1583 in the era of Ryonobu 14th, and it is said that the memorial service was held, but it was destroyed by fire several times after that. The modern main hall was rebuilt in the third year of the Genbun (1738), but it has deteriorated significantly, and from July 2009, it was repaired for four years with respect for its cultural property value, and in 2013. I was able to restore it. (Currently a tangible cultural property designated by Chikusei City) Senmyoji owns 3,600 temple treasures as history shows, and for a while it was deposited at the Prefectural History Museum, but in March 2015, an exhibition room and storage were built in Senmyoji. It is available for viewing. * Denpo irrigation dojo Esoteric Buddhism "law" = a serious ritual that bestows the fundamental teachings and the rank of Acharya. It is said to be a valuable religious event that can only be passed down to Enryakuji Temple and Senmyoji Temple on Mt. Hiei.
