★ ★ ★ ★ ★ つくし湖に車停めて、ハイキングコースから辿り着きました。楼門や三重塔など見所あり。静かでとても良いトコですね。
I parked at Lake Horsetail and arrived from the hiking course. There are attractions such as the tower gate and the three-storied pagoda. It's quiet and very good.

御朱印は書いてから、キチンと拝んでから渡してくれます。とても人の良さそうな住職さんです。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ lovely temple hidden atop the mountain. dates back to the Taisho era. worth a visit if in Sakuragawa town!
the temple attendant was very knowledgeable and kind.
the quaint small pond was built to preserve the waterscape that once was filled by a waterfall that cascaded from the top of the mountain. the large bell at the entrance of the main shrine makes a lovely sound and is rung by visitors seeking happiness and good health.
the drive up is easy enough but the road is very narrow at times so be careful at the numerous turns!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely gorgeous place situated on the slope of the Tsukuba mountain, this shrine is, surprisingly enough, very quiet. While the Tsukuba shrine attracts thousands of tourists every day, and even more, this place is mostly empty. It is probably due to the fact that this place is pretty hidden and relatively hard to find.
From the Shiiosan Rakuoin (not sure about the pronunciation), you can also find a hiking trail that will take you to the top of the Tsukuba mountain (the tail starts behin the graveyard).
