昔はもっと手入れがなされキレイだった
今でも公園としての機能はあるが、アクセスの林道は封鎖。
行止りからは茅ヶ岳登山道延びる。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 近隣のキャンプ場を春の時季に利用したとき数回来たが、花満開だった経験がない。キャンプ場の管理をしている方が、あそこは手入れがされていないので、キレイに咲かないと言っていたが、桜とはそういうものなのだろうか?。ココのもっと麓の方に千本桜の記念碑があった気がするが、そこは拓けておらず、また桜の木も少ない。なにか場所を移動しなければならない理由があったのか?。たとえキレイに咲くとしても、アクセスが悪いので花見の場所としては一般的でなく、ハイカーや茅ヶ岳の登山者が訪れる程度のような気がする。この辺りでは、もっと麓の方の桜が立派でキレイというのも、来訪は少ないが自分の経験である。
I came here several times when I used the nearby campsite in the spring season, but I have never experienced the flowers in full bloom. The person who manages the campsite said that it wouldn't bloom beautifully because it wasn't maintained there, but is that what the cherry blossoms are? I think there was a monument to a thousand cherry blossoms at the foot of here, but it hasn't been opened and there are few cherry trees. Was there any reason to move to another place? Even if it blooms beautifully, it is not a common place to see cherry blossoms because of poor access, and I feel that hikers and climbers of Mt. Kaya visit it. In this area, the cherry blossoms at the foot of the mountain are splendid and beautiful, which is my experience, although there are few visits.
