し	しょうご on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ かなり歴史がある滑空場だと思います。初めて見学に行ったのが30年以上前？?とても素晴らしい景色の中をグライダーが弧を描いて飛んでいたのが印象に残っています。?子供や孫にコクピットや機体を間近で拝見させて頂きました❗️ I think it's a gliding field with a long history. Did you go to the tour for the first time more than 30 years ago? ? I was impressed by the glider flying in an arc through the wonderful scenery. ? I had my children and grandchildren see the cockpit and the aircraft up close ❗️
A	Akila NAKAMURA on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 河口から50kmくらいの地点にグライダーの滑走路が見えます。河原外には格納エリアがあり、大学やフリーのグライダー部が利用できる古くからある滑走路ですね。江戸川SRから見えるのでなかなか珍しいものとして眺めているのは楽しいです。 You can see the glider runway about 50km from the estuary. There is a storage area outside the river, and it's an old runway that can be used by universities and free gliders. It's fun to see it as something unusual because you can see it from the Edogawa SR.

I go the place, and ask if it's possible for a trial thing for one day, as the state in their web site "just ask us anytime to anyone in the club", they tell me I can't just come there directly, I had to make a reservation (not what the web site says). So I go back to Tokyo (70km ride, thanks not-very-friendly club member!) 2. I send an e-mail (in Japanese) asking them to let me take part in a trial ride. Just a normal "polite" mail, with a header, a greeting, my request, and a footer. They reply me in like 5 mins with one line "we're stuck because of the typhoon that affected our runway so can't fly". Both on 1 and 2 club members were not very polite/friendly. I don't know if it's because I'm a foreigner or it was just that they have their own source of new members, but really unfriendly. Maybe I just had back luck on the people I met, but so far my impression of the club is really bad.
