公園は小さいので小さい子が遊ぶには適していますが近くの歩道を通る人や自転車は結構多いので注意が必要です

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 大井町駅から徒歩で6～7分の場所にある。緑道沿いにあるコンパクトな公園です。この辺りは、旧薩摩鹿児島藩島津家抱屋敷跡だったとのことで、標識も有ります。其れにしても公園名「関ヶ原」の由来が気になります。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ コンパクトな公園ですがご近所の方々が花壇を手入れされているようでキレイです。遊具が滑り台だけでつまらないので早く改修してほしいところ。それとたまに上半身はだかのおじいさんが、ベンチのところで筋トレしている。それだけならまだいいのだが、同じようなご老人にケンカを売っているのか暴言を吐いているところを何度か目撃しました。やべえ奴ですのでご注意ください。

And sometimes an old man with a bare upper body is doing muscle training on the bench. That's fine, but I've witnessed several times ranting about selling fights to similar old men. Please note that he is a bad guy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 立会道路沿いにある小さな公園です。
滑り台が２つある遊具と砂場があります。
滑り台の１つは小さくてローラーがついているタイプで、2歳ぐらいでもひとりで遊べます。
砂場はこの地域ではめずらしく柵がないので、広々としています。
ただ、この公園のあたりは地域猫がたくさんいるので、ちょっとここでのお砂場遊びは躊躇われます。
ブランコもあったようですが、座る部分が取り外されています。
平日は保育園のお散歩コースになっているようで、お揃いの帽子を被った子供達が遊んでいます。
入り口にベンチがあり、喫煙禁止となっていますがよくたばこを吸っている人がいて残念です。

海抜1メートルの場所から石段を登ると、海抜7メートルの高さの道に出ます。
干拓や埋め立てがされる前はここが海岸線だったのかな？ と思いながら進むと、薩摩藩邸跡のプレートがある関ヶ原公園に出ます。
一体どこが関ケ原なのか、由来は書いてありませんでしたが、関ヶ原の合戦での島津の退き口を顕彰するためにこの名前になったのか…全ては謎です。
公園としてはトイレや藤棚の下のベンチ、滑り台などの遊具がありました。
ただ、公園向かっての遊歩道の噴水？ の水が枯れていて少々寂しかったです。
