★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A beautiful location with trails to walk, wonderful educational centers (including the dormouse museum, one of my favorites), fantastic soft-serve ice cream, and stellar views of the mountains, including Fuji-san if you are lucky. I have been here four times and spent the night twice. The accommodations are from standard Japanese (my stay last week) to high class (my first stay six years ago). I love staying here when I can and the restraunt is excellent!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It wasn't bad, the rooms were decent. There is a hot spring here and the hot spring is also decent. There is a shop where they sell ice cream. The ice cream is a must here, it tastes really good. Not bad and it is not that far from the JR Kiyosato station. (Where there is only 4 trains or so that go there every day

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing place to visit, if you are lucky, you may see Mt. Fuji from here with your soft ice cream!! The soft cream is fine, not so bad but it’s not that great and worth the travel there; but it’s something that you can do when you get there. There is a foot hot spring that you can use for free while enjoying the mount fuji view!!
