駅に隣接して十台程度とめられる駐車場があります（1日500円）
当駅からは万田野まで約1kmの砂利採取線が延びていましたが、1963年（昭和38年）に廃止されました。
その後、2002年（平成14年）3月24日に一旦、無人駅となりましたが、2013年（平成25年）3月16日のダイヤ改正により上下列車の待ち合わせを行うようになったことに伴い再び有人駅となりました。

Opened on March 7, 1925 (Taisho 14).
There is a parking lot adjacent to the station where about 10 cars can be parked (500 yen a day).
A gravel collection line of about 1km extended from this station to Mandano, but it was abolished in 1963 (Showa 38).
After that, it became an unmanned station once on March 24, 2002, but due to the timetable revision on March 16, 2013, it became possible to meet up and down trains. As a result, it became a manned station again.
