胆沢ダム湖(奥州湖)のシンボルとなる岩山で、もう少ししたら、湖面に張り出した木々が秋色に染まります。
山頂から周辺には椿の群生があり、だいぶ朽ちたお宮までは散策出来ます。が、山頂までは道が無く、雑木も密集していて展望は望めませんよ。f(^_^;
時々、カモシカも見掛けますが、マムシ、クマもおりますので、獣らに会わないように、訪問時刻には注意して下さいね。
また湖底には、隋道(トンネル)や石渕ダムが沈んでいます。

It is a rocky mountain that is a symbol of Isawa Dam Lake (Oshu Lake), and after a while, the trees overhanging the lake surface will be dyed in autumn colors.
There is a camellia herd from the top of the mountain to the surrounding area, and you can take a walk to the decayed palace. However, there is no road to the top of the mountain, and there are many miscellaneous trees, so you can't see the view. f (^_^;
Sometimes I see antelopes, but there are also pit vipers and bears, so please be careful about the time of your visit so as not to meet the beasts.
In addition, the Sui dynasty (tunnel) and Ishibuchi dam are sunk on the bottom of the lake.
