★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 東山大滝へ向かう途中、ダムを越えた先にある滝です。轟音を頼りに向かうとありました。猿滝茶屋付近から向かえます。ダム側のコーナーひとつ手前の広い路側帯が便利です。ちょうど角の辺りから降りていくことができます。
猿滝の落差は約10メートル位。幅広く迫力ある姿です。
滝へと降りる箇所が少し危険です。危ないかなと思ったら無理に降りずに上から見るだけでいいかと思います。携帯やカメラを落とさないよう注意してください。本来は渓流釣りなどの装備をした方が降りるような場所です。事前の天候による大幅な水量変化もあるので注意です。
この滝のちょっと上流にも小さな滝のような流れがあり、踏み跡を辿ると見ることができます。
猿滝茶屋の目の前にあり紛らわしいですが、二筋に流れるこちらの滝は猿滝ではなく無名の小さな滝です。この小さな滝を猿滝と思われる方がとても多いのですが、猿滝は東山大滝に匹敵する迫力ある滝です。あれ、ショボイ？と思ったらもっと下流に向かってみて下さい。

It is confusing because it is right in front of Saru Falls Chaya, but this waterfall that flows in two lines is not a Saru Falls but an unknown small waterfall. Many people think that this small waterfall is Saru Falls, but Saru Falls is a powerful waterfall comparable to Higashiyama Otaki. Is that shoboy? If you think so, please go further downstream.
