★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 住宅街の中を抜けると小高い丘があり看板の裏手に古墳の入り口がある。中は、かなり広い石室の空間が広がっている。わざわざ見に来た甲斐があった。
After passing through the residential area, there is a small hill and the entrance to the tumulus is behind the signboard. Inside, there is a fairly large stone chamber space. It was worth it to come all the way to see it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 佐久平ではかなり大きい古墳。羨道は滑津川方面に向かって開いており石室が原型を留め残っており古墳マニアにはグッとくるしっかりとした円墳です。
A fairly large tumulus in Sakudaira. The entourage opens toward the Nametsu River, and the stone chamber remains in its original form, making it a solid burial mound that comes to the tumulus enthusiasts.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 四十数年前、小学校の遠足で訪れお弁当を食べたと思います。
当時は畑中の小高い丘としか認識が無く、石室の中に入ったり、古墳の上から転げ落ちたりして遊びました。
鉄製フェンスで囲まれてはいますけど出入りは自由です。
現在石室の中へは入れませんが、登る事はできます。
河岸段丘上から遠く八ヶ岳を見渡す方向に石室が設けられています。
現在古墳の周囲は住宅地となっていますし、湯川へ降りる道も通行止めです。
当時の権力者じゃ無くても、ここから見る稜線の山々は美しい。

It is surrounded by an iron fence, but you can enter and leave freely.
Currently you can't enter the stone chamber, but you can climb.
There is a stone room in the direction overlooking Yatsugatake from the river terrace.
At present, the area around the burial mound is a residential area and the road to Yukawa is closed.
Even if you are not a powerhouse at the time, the ridgeline mountains seen from here are beautiful.
