★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you are looking for some information about Sakai city history, the Nintoku tumulus and others, this is the place. Located in the middle of the park, this museum is a bit hidden. But if you can find the TIC not far from Mozu station, the staff is very helpful.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really worth going, it's small town anour 30 mins train from Osaka. The keyhole tombs were interesting, got green tea tasting and VR show.....its kinds refreshing after long day shopping.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The tourist guides are awesome. They give their best to help you learn about Sakai. I think Sakai is underrated. It deserves more exposure and it's indeed one of the best place to visit to feel the heart of Japan

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I thought this was an excellent museum to learn about the construction of Kofun. Fascinating exhibits and a great documentary with english subtitles. I was alao lucky enough to be shown round by an english speaking guide with great knowledge.
Entry was only 200 yen and it was free to watch the documentary.
It is in Daisen park which has some other great attractions. Well worth a visit!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic museum to take the kids and visitors to learn some interesting facts and part of Japan's cultural heritage. Surrounding tea gardens and park are amazing. Wonderful experience. My favourite place in town.

The garden was good. Serene and well kept.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Charming museum that covers the full suite of Sakai City's history in about 4 galleries. The highlight was the exhibition on the Mozu Tomb Mounds (Kofun) Cluster. This section of the museum had concise yet informative English labels and annotations, whereas other galleries had no English support. There was also an interesting VR headset experience of the kofun for an added fee. The VR was available in English and educational; it gave a good sense of scale of the landscape and the layout of the tomb. (No overblown 3D antics like some VR shows I've seen.) Staff were friendly and tried their best to cater to English-speaking visitors.
