★ ★ ★ ★ ★ この西淋寺には、万が一の時の復興資金として「黄金の平瓦」二枚が蓄えられていました。ところが天正三年(1575)四月、織田信長の河内攻めの際多くの寺宝と共に黄金の平瓦二枚も井戸に投げ込んで隠し、織田軍の略奪から免れたと言われています。
当時の西淋寺には五つの井戸があり、そのうち三つの井戸は発掘されているのですが、残念ながら黄金は発見されませんでした。のこる二つの井戸の場所は不明で、古の西淋寺の寺域の大部分が現在では民家が建ち並び古市の町の一部となっているところから、この町のどこかに黄金は眠っていると思われます。羽曳野市古市はまさに埋蔵金の眠る町なのです。
この羽曳野市のキャッチフレーズは「雅の街」だそうです。雅かどうかは疑問ですが「歴史のロマン溢れる街」である事はたしかです。

At that time there were five wells at Nishigonji Temple, three of which were excavated, but unfortunately no gold was found. The location of the two wells is unknown, and most of the temple grounds of the old Saigonji Temple are now lined with private houses and are part of the town of Furuichi. It seems that there is Habikino-shi Furuichi is a town where buried gold sleeps.
The catchphrase of Habikino City is "Ya no Machi". It is doubtful whether it is elegant or not, but it is true that it is a "town full of romance of history".

聖徳太子霊跡霊場、河内飛鳥古寺霊場、河内六観音の札所。近鉄南大阪線古市駅より徒歩五分。
かつては大きな寺出会ったのでしょうが、戦国時代、明治期の廃仏毀釈の影響でかなり打撃を受けたようです。今回、河内六観音として参拝いたしましたが、本堂は閉まっており本尊薬師如来、札所本尊馬頭観音の姿は拝見できませんでした。
ただ、お寺さん側の運営上公開していないだけで、秘仏と言うわけではないらしいです。しかしながら、盆時期の檀家さん向けの接待の際に本堂が開かれるので、そのタイミングのみ拝見可能だそうです。

You may have met a big temple in the past, but it seems that it was hit hard by the abolition of Buddha during the Warring States period and the Meiji period. This time, I visited as Kawachi Rokukannon, but the main hall was closed and I could not see the main temple, Yakushi Nyorai, and Hayagriva.
However, it seems that it is not a secret Buddha just because it is not open to the public due to the operation of the temple. However, since the main hall will be opened during the entertainment for Danya during the Bon Festival, it seems that you can only see it at that time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 渡来系氏族の西文氏(かわちのふみうじ)が7世紀に建立したと伝えられる。
創建時の伽藍配置は塔を東、金堂を西に配置し東西、南北１５０ｍ四方の法起寺式伽藍配置とされている。
境内にある巨石は、五重塔の心礎であり飛鳥朝様式としては最大級のもの。
西文氏は王仁氏（わに）の子孫とされ、王仁氏は日本書紀に記されている伝承上の人物。王仁氏は百済から日本に渡来し「千字文」と「論語」を伝えたとされる。
それほど有名な寺ではないが、その歴史は飛鳥時代まで遡る。

Mr. Nishifumi is said to be a descendant of Mr. Wani, and Mr. Wani is a traditional person recorded in the Nihon Shoki. It is said that Mr. Wani came to Japan from Baekje and transmitted "thousand characters" and "the analects".
Although it is not a very famous temple, its history goes back to the Asuka period.

今は静かな住宅地の奥まった所にありますが、巨大な礎石があったり往時を思うことができます。
近くには竹内街道が通っているので、ここも当時の国の威信を見せるための大寺院だったのかもしれませんね。
こじんまりとしていますが、長椅子もあり思いに耽るのに良い場所です。

It's now in the back of a quiet residential area, but there are huge cornerstones and you can think of the past.
The Takenouchi Kaido runs nearby, so it may have been a large temple to show the prestige of the country at that time.
