My ancestor was the Iwamurada clan Naito family (the head of the Naito family was Naito Shinjuku (now Shinjuku! Shinjuku Gyoen)) and Tadanoyo Odori was a castle royal family, but the Bodaiji is a Seiji temple. Sometimes it comes here. The bell tower and the mountain gate, the great Sei Kannon and Mr. Rokuzou are conspicuous. There is a huge Amida Nyorai in the main hall. Actually, in the left back, the bats of the Tokugawa family of the past are lining up. You understand that you are deeply involved.

If you leave the roundabout at Iwamurada Station and head east, you will see a large building that looks like a temple roof on your right. This Sainenji Temple is the family temple of the former Iwamurata feudal lord, and was founded in 1560 by enshrining Takeda Shingen. In the precincts, there are the Irimaya tile-roofed tower gate and the graveyard of Hidehisa Sengoku, the first feudal lord of Komoro Castle. I couldn't see the principal image, but it seems that the wooden Amida Nyorai sitting statue over 130 cm is a prefectural treasure.

The temple I visited for the first time on a business trip. When I visited the temple office to get the red stamp, I was able to visit the main hall. On the left side of the large and magnificent statue of Amida Nyoraiji, there are many mortuary tablets of the Tokugawa family. It seems that he has a relationship with Shingen Takeda and the Naito family in Shinjuku, Tokyo. At the temple office, there is "Wasurena Jizo", which was built by volunteers from Saku City who worked in the disaster area to memorialize the deceased and pray for reconstruction after the Great East Japan Earthquake. Using pine wood from Rikuzentakata, it was created by Professor Satoji Yabuuchi of Tokyo University of the Arts, who is also the creator of Sento-kun in Nara. The priest is also a person who has a connection with the disaster area. The day I visited happened to be March 11th. We thank you for your visit and pray for the reconstruction of the disaster area and the peace of the world.

A "big japamala" is listed in a corner of Iwamurada's arcade street. The road leads to the side of the "Tax Office", but here is the famous ancient temple "Nishi Nenji". During the "Nakasendo" era, the second largest post town after Shiojiri was called "Iwamurada-shuku", and even at that time, there were 6,000 houses. At the north entrance leading to "Otai-shuku" is "Soto Sect / Ryuunji". At the southern end of "Iwamurada-shuku", it branches off from "Saku Koshu Kaido" and turns west toward "Shionada-shuku", where "Jodo-shu Nishinenji" stands. "Soto sect" is the idea that those who have trained their minds and bodies with "zazen" and have completed rigorous training (monks) can save people. The idea is that anyone can go to paradise as long as they say "Namu Amida Butsu" in "Jodo-shu". ("Jodo Shinshu" is the idea that "Buddha" guides the person who chanted "Namu Amida Butsu".) In the difficult daily life, "Jodo sect" (including Jodo Shin sect) was widely accepted by the general public, and "Soto sect" (Soto sect) was preferred by samurai and wealthy merchants who could afford "Zen training". (Including Rinzai sect). (* It is a personal impression. I'm sorry if I make a mistake.) It's just rakugo and historical drama. What does "Nanmida" mean? That "Nishi Nenji". As soon as you dive down the main gate, you will find the mountain gate. The main hall has a towering roof in front of the cobblestone approach. In the center of the "Temple Crest" of the ridge, you can see "Mitsuba Aoi" (Tokugawa family protection). The "Wooden Amida Elephant Statue" by the principal idol is designated as a prefectural treasure. There was a tomb of "Mr. Hidehisa Sengoku, the first owner of Komoro Castle" in the precincts. (In the land of Saku?) There are also "Ruriko Yakushi Nyorai" (closed), "Mizuko Jizo", "Sacred Kannon Bodhisattva Statue" and "Rokujizo" in the precincts. In front of the gate, there was also the tomb of "Iwamurada Domain, 5th Domain Lord, Masakuni Naito". I would like to revisit when the "Wisteria shelf" in the precincts is in full bloom.
