--天台真盛宗総本山--　　西教寺 - Saikyoji.org

滋賀県大津市の《天台真盛宗総本山西教寺》は聖徳太子が恩師である高麗の僧慧慈、慧聡のために創建されたと伝えられています。その後、久しく荒廃していましたが、慈恵大師良源上人が復興、念仏の道場としました。恵心僧都も入寺、修業されたところから次第に栄えるようになりました。鎌倉時代の正中2年(1325)に入寺された恵鎮（円観）上人は、伝教大師が畢生の事業として提唱された大乗円頓戒を復興、その後百有余年を経た文明18年(1486)に真盛上人が入寺されるに至り、堂塔と教法を再興、不断念仏の道場とされました。以来全国に約四百余りの末寺を有する総本山となりました。

ま	まるふくかんたろう on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 明智光秀の菩提寺でもある西教寺は元亀2年（1571）織田信長の比叡山焼き討ちの際に焼失した。その後この地に坂本城を築いた明智光秀が西教寺復興に尽力したとか。紅葉の名所としても名高く、ここからの琵琶湖の眺望も素晴らしいとのことだが、詣でたのは紅葉の時期でもなく、小雨が降る曇天の日。本堂や客殿、小堀遠州作の庭園、穴太衆の作った石組みなどなど見所はとても豊富なのだが、とにかく風が冷たくて体が冷えて仕方がなかったので急ぎ足で回ったのは今思うととてももったいなかった。 Saikyo-ji Temple, which is also the family temple of Akechi Mitsuhide, was burnt down during the burning of Mt. 廣	廣石悦司 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 明智光秀の菩提寺。桜と紅葉が有名らしいです。今回は、桜はすこし散りはじめでした。ただ、垂れ桜もあり、こちらは見事でした。夜はかがり火を行っているようです。このお寺は由緒正しいところらしいですが、今回の感想は、風車が至るところに飾ってありました。本殿前には、風車のオブジェがあり癒やされます。 Akechi Mitsuhide's family temple.
