★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 西湖からは富士の眺めがイマイチではないかという勝手な思い込みが全く間違っていたことがよく分かりました。素晴らしい富士の勇姿と薄っすらと逆さ富士。お客さんが来たら連れて行く富士の絶景スポットがまた一つ増えました。
(追記)冬の富士も格別でした。二つの稜線がクロスし、その上に冠雪した富士山が見えます?

県道から西湖の浜辺に下りていくと、視界が広がり西湖の水面越しに富士山?が、ドカッと見えてきます。
湖上では、小学校上級生を対象にしたカヌー教室が行われていました、お昼近くなると黄色や赤色のカヌーを岸に寄せ始めていました。浜辺では写真を撮る大人たちがいました。
上陸した小学生たちは、一人ずつお昼のお弁当をもらい好きな場所で食べていました。風が冷たくなった晩秋の暖かな一日です。
そんな小さな人間の活動を富士山?は、じっと見てくれている様でした。

When you go down from the prefectural road to the beach of Saiko, you can see Mt. Fuji ? over the surface of Saiko.
On the lake, a canoe class was held for senior elementary school students, and near noon, yellow and red canoes began to be brought to the shore. There were adults taking pictures on the beach.
The elementary school students who landed had lunch boxes one by one and ate at their favorite places. It's a warm day in late autumn when the wind gets cold.
Mt. Fuji ? seemed to be watching such a small human activity.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 西湖は周回道路が狭いので、駐車してのんびり富士山を眺められる場所が少ないが、ここはある程度スペースがあるが、増水時は注意が必要。入口から道路をはさみ飲食店がある。車高の低い車は入らない方がいい。
Since the circuit road is narrow in Saiko, there are few places where you can park and look at Mt. Fuji, but there is some space here, but you need to be careful when the water rises. There is a restaurant across the road from the entrance. It is better not to enter a car with a low ride height.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ここの浜は入り江に成っており波が立たず逆さ富士を見るのには最高の場所ですが今回は紅葉を見に訪れました。丁度見頃の真っ最中で紅と黄色いのマッチングが綺麗でした。駐車場 上の山も紅葉と成っており凄い景色を満喫出来ました。 2022年3月 空気はヒンヤリ ピリピリの感じで誰もいない浜からの富士山は綺麗に見え秋に訪れたときよりも凄く綺麗でした。冬には西湖の水位が下がっており湖岸の砂浜が広く成っていて透明度があり水も綺麗でした。駐車場には車が1台も無く寂しく川の水は流れて無く雪が残っていました。

Absolutely recommend stopping by. Relaxed and not crowded as well. Cant say for weekends though.
