トイレも綺麗でしたし、明るくて非常に綺麗な道の駅でした。お土産や野菜がたくさん売られています。レストランは、昼時は大々混雑です。蕎麦も美味しくてコシがあり、甘めの汁も美味しかったです。弥助そばやの味に少し似ていますね。

物販は勿論ですが、いつ訪れても旬な素材と充実の品揃え。またここオリジナルのジェラートや西馬音内そばが食べられるレストランやモーニングもやっているカフェまで!また様々な体験会やイベントも盛り沢山。

21年8月に訪問しました。 開業6年目だそうですが、明るくて 清潔感がある道の駅だと、思います、 産直、お土産品、ジェラート、 お蕎麦屋さん、 お惣菜やお弁当もあります、 道の駅のスタンプラリーを目的に 訪れますが、いつもお客さんが居て、 活気がある道の駅だと思います。 追記、22年1月に訪れました。 前回訪れた時は、昼飯を食べた後に 訪れたので、インフォメーションの 女性の方のおすすめだった お蕎麦は食べなかったですが、 今回は食べました、美味しかったです、 また訪れた時に食べたいと思います。

綺麗な道のえきです。 産直コーナーは、今の時期、仁賀保のいちじくがありましたが、調理用なのか生食用なのかわかりませんでした。生食用が欲しかったので明記してもらえると助かります。 もう一つお目当ては、西馬音内饅頭。 薄い饅頭ですが、地味に美味しいです。 いつも思うのは、レジのスタッフの親切さ。持参した袋にお入れしますと、声をかけてくれます。

オープンからおよそ5年、当初からお気に入りのオシャレな道の駅。いろいろ魅力はあるものの、一番のお目当ては何と言っても西馬音内そば。町内のお蕎麦屋さんと違い日曜休みが無いのが有難い。 以前からそうだけど土日のお昼時の混み具合は凄くて、道の駅の入口付近まで並ぶ事もある。もっとも提供時間が早く、食べ終わるのも割と早いので思った程待つ事はないから、行列を見て諦めないで欲しい。 季節に関係無くいつも食べるのは冷がけ、と言うか西馬音内そばの温かいのは未だに未経験、この先食べる事はあるのだろうか? 冷がけそば単品でも十分だけど、海老や季節の天ぷらも美味しいので迷わずチョイス。ポットにそば湯も用意されていているので熱々をいただける。窓際の席は田んぼが見渡せるので、季節の移り変わりが感じられる特等席です。 おそばの後はたまにうごジェラを食べて、産直を物色して帰るのがルーティン。

The seats by the window overlook the rice fields, so you can feel the changing seasons. After soba, it is a routine to eat Ugo Jera once in a while and search for direct production.

A very nicely designed Michi no Eki with a children's play area. We met a lovely lady who worked in the tourist information section who spoke very good English. We ate lunch here which was very good and very tasty. The lady recommended a good onsen nearby which we went to and it was good! As always there was a nice array of local produce and products layed out neatly. Because it was a weekend there was a man making a very famous sweet treat called Wagashi. We were even lucky enough to taste some! Thankyou for having us!
