★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Decent bikes offered. Not the best condition but you can request for another. Do check before you use it. Able to drop off bike at the hotel, inform staff beforehand if doing so. Bikes are electric-assist not full auto though.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Crappy bikes, even worse service. Take your money elsewhere or check and test the bike thoroughly BEFORE giving any money.
Seats are torn and bikes are in bad state. Initially I got a bike with flat tire, the we had a bike with a stuck low gear. The kid who was there was reluctant in offering solution and was very clear in pointing out that they do not offer a refund. I was very clear that he should provide other bike or money back. We got another(smaller but ok bike in the end) but this rubbed me and others waiting the wrong way.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE I’VE EVER HAD TO GO THROUGH! We hired 4 Electric bikes for 3 hours (Paid ¥6,000 all up) but half an hour in, we realised one of our bikes’ gear switcher didn’t work AT ALL! FURTHERMORE, the kick-stand and breaks on another one of our bikes we hired was FAULTY as well!!
We tried to get a refund for at least one of the bikes which was USELESS because of its screwed-up gears but was told by some English-speaking guy over the phone that they will not refund 100% for a single bike which was used for only half an hour!
IF YOU WANT TO HIRE A RUBBISH BICYCLE WITH BROKEN GEARS, KICK-STAND, BREAKS, AND WASTE ¥1,500 AND YOUR TIME, GO TO THIS STORE.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I would give no stars if I could. I rented a bike yesterday and all was fine. I asked to rent a bike for the next day. He told me they may be closed but to call them So I did. He said he would be there in 5 mins. He never came nor did he contact me on the phone. Wasted an hour waiting aound. 30 years in Japan and I speak Japanese. I've never seen such rudeness and lack of basic manners. GO SOME PLACE ELSE!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had a good experience until I asked to return the bike a day early. They would not refund the extra day despite nothing about early returns in the document I signed. Very unhelpful when something goes wrong.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Rented an electric bike (500 per hour / 2500 for the whole day. Halfway around the lake, I realised that there was no air in the back tyre (a puncture?) and called up the shop. They very kindly arranged for a new cycle for me within 15 minutes! Great service and great experience overall!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Rented two electric bikes for three hours to ride around Kawaguchi lake. We rented from 11:39am so it would've been till 2:39pm but they let us rent till 3pm so that was nice of them. Cash only. You read the instructions and policy and pay. Easy process. We got the electric bike because they told us it would be hilly in some areas when coming back. It wasn't hilly at all so if you bike regularly, a normal bike would be fine too. Didn't use the electric mode most of the time. But felt as if an electric bike if faster even without the mode on. Even making small pitstops it took around 1.5 hours to bike around Kawaguchi lake. Recommend!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you're reading these reviews trying to decide whether or not to rent a bike in the 5 lakes region to get around, or to use the bus system, grab the bike if you're moderately fit.
I rented an electric one for the day and it saved me on some of the hills near lake Saiko. I went around both lake Kawaguchiko and lake Saiko and checked out a couple caves and trails all for 2500 yen.
My only complaint was that the seat was too low even on its highest setting(I'm 6ft) but they might have ones with higher seats, I didn't adjust it properly until I left so my bad. Customer service was also great, the woman made sure I knew all of the features and gave me helpful information for the day.
