★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a simple ancient Jodo temple built in the 16th century. Although it is not spectacular, it is rich in history in terms of the 3 founding priests. We visited Kawagoe in Spring and was extra blessed to have been able to view this historical site in all it's beauty. The sakura trees were in full bloom and added an extra ancient Japanese charm to the place. Simply loved it.
