Rengeji - Kamogawa

It is the home of Nichiren Daishonin's birthplace, a place of great significance in the life of the founder, and a place I once wanted to visit. The great saint was born in this area and founded Rikkyo University, so he bought a grudge against Tojo Keinobu, who ruled this area, and was forced to leave Seichoji Temple, which had been the base of shakubuku until then. It is said that he and his teacher, Dozenbo, temporarily moved to this area to escape from Tojo. As a result, it became impossible to publicly shakubuku in his hometown, so he decided to seek a missionary base in Kamakura, the political center of the time. Again, it gained the support of many people, but at the same time, it caused the shogunate's opposition to the shakubuku of the great saints in Kamakura. The base of the shakubuku in Kamakura will be temporarily lost. In addition, he was forced to return to his hometown after learning the news of his mother's seriousness, but although he was successful in caring for his mother, he was about to die from Tojo and others in the land of Komatsubara. It is said that the great saint was in danger of being killed while moving from the Renkaji Temple in Hanafusa to the residence of Kimiyasu Kudo in Tianjin. There is a remains of a well for washing wounds, which is said to have healed the wound. In addition, there is an anecdote that the great saint reunited with his teacher Dozenbo, urged the Lotus Sutra devotion, and the teacher was impressed at the request of the great saint.

A spiritual site that is said to have been the base of missionary work after the Nichiren saint left Seichoji Temple and before and after the Komatsubara law. It is also the place of reunion with Nichiren Saint's teacher, Dozenbo. And there is a well that has been evacuated after the Komatsubara law and healed the injured.

From the station, walking is impossible and a little difficult to understand. Private car and taxi use is good. In addition, it is usually not resident and is under the control of Kagamishinji Temple.

Nichiren sect's sect gate historic temple. Although it is very small, it is a venerable temple that is said to have been the base for Nichiren Saints when they stayed in the Minamiboso area after leaving Kiyosumi Temple and before and after the Komatsubara law. It is located at the foot of the mountain, and it is said that it will be dim early in the evening, but the rice fields spread out in front of the main hall and it is peaceful. The building itself is new, but the surrounding scenery seemed to remind me of the times when Nichiren Saints were alive. When I visited the temple, a female priest came and told me various things about the Nichiren sect temple around Sotobo. He also said, "Please live a life where you not only have seeds, but also sow them and raise water and fertilizer to produce them."
