★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 岩間温泉への道が当時崖崩れ（記憶は曖昧だが恐らく1999年7月に起きた白山周辺の地震による影響）で車での通行ができなくて、結局片道2時間以上をかけて徒歩でやっとここにたどり着いたときは、その秘境ぶりを味わうより、まず苦行してきたような感無量を覚えた。ここは中ノ川の左岸に噴泉塔群が点在して高温のお湯を噴き出していて、狭い谷間もあいまってこれこそ温泉地獄かのような雰囲気を醸し出す。資料によれば、温泉から沈殿した石灰華の噴泉塔は高さ4mにも達すると書いてあるが、斜面にあるため体感高度はそこまでいかない感じ。
 The road to Iwama Onsen was not able to be reached by car due to the landslide at that time (the memory is ambiguous, but probably due to the earthquake around Hakusan in July 1999). When I arrived here, rather than enjoying the unexplored atmosphere, I first felt the feeling of suffering. Here, the hot springs are spouting out with a group of fountain towers scattered on the left bank of the Nakano River, and together with the narrow valleys, this creates an atmosphere like a hot spring hell. According to the data, the lime flower fountain tower that has settled from the hot spring is said to reach a height of 4 m, but it feels that it is not so high because it is on a slope.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 温泉好きにはたまらない噴泉塔。しかも「群」とあるではないですか。これは行くしかないとカップ麺片手に行ってきました。
岩間温泉元湯（野天風呂）から噴泉塔群までは険しい山道となります。しっかりとした装備で臨んでください。
写真の通り見事な噴泉塔があり終始大自然を堪能させてもらいました。
しめにカップラーメンへ温泉を入れて食べました。最高に美味しいかったです。が、、こちらの温泉は飲用不可になります。
共に来ていた友人と私は帰宅後盛大に下痢をいたしました。お湯はご自身でちゃんと用意した方が良いでしょう。
ややハードな道のりにはなりますがその分満足できる光景が待っています。温泉好きなら押さえておきたいスポットの１つですね。

It is a steep mountain road from Iwama Onsen Motoyu (open-air bath) to the fountain towers. Please face with solid equipment.
As you can see in the photo, there is a magnificent sinter cone and I enjoyed nature from beginning to end.
I put a hot spring in the cup ramen and ate it. It was the best. However, this hot spring is not drinkable.
My friend and I who came with me had diarrhea after returning home. You should prepare the hot water yourself.
It will be a little hard road, but a satisfying sight is waiting for you. If you like hot springs, this is one of the spots you should keep in mind.
